Illumina has worked with a major chemicals and consumer packaged goods company to develop improved training for sales and other personnel at their distribution partners. The initiative has included a large number of microlearning modules to train sales on the key characteristics and benefits of the company’s products, as well as additional modules on effective performance of the processes in which the products are used. To support the initiative, Illumina also created a tailored instance of the TalentLMS learning platform, to enable the distribution partners to have easy access to the learning resources. Initial rollout has focused on the US marketplace, and Illumina and its client are now working on a multi-phased approach to expand the offerings to the company’s international subsidiaries and their distribution partners.
