As part of the launch of its new latte offerings in Dunkin’ stores, Illumina helped create two videos for franchisee employees. One video suggested best pairings of bakery offerings such as donuts with the new lattes, and the other video provided ideas on setting up the workstation area for efficient latte preparation. Both videos adopted a playful, edgy style; for example, the coffee/donut pairings were presented as a dating app, providing ideas of complementary characteristics and letting the franchisee staff member do the matchmaking. Illumina worked with Dunkin to design the video concepts, and brought in long-time partner RCP Learning for the video animations, turning lattes into animated characters.
