Mary Ellen Whitaker is Illumina Interactive’s Senior Learning Content Designer. Mary Ellen collaborates with clients to discover who the target learner is and what content they need to know with the goal of designing engaging and accessible learning experiences. With a professional background in television, writing, and print publishing, Mary Ellen is skilled at conceptualizing and producing storyboards, videos, animations, and scripts. Her work with Illumina has spanned a wide range of subject matter and projects, from systems training and customer experience training to modules about value-based healthcare and training for crisis center counselors.

Mary Ellen has worked with Illumina Interactive since its founding. In addition to her instructional design role at Illumina, Mary Ellen is a professional voiceover artist who voices a wide range of projects from eLearning courses to documentaries and television commercials.
